Introducing Our Limited-Edition Christmas Coffee: Guji Kercha, Ethiopia
This year’s festive roast comes from the Guji Kercha station in Banko Michicha, Ethiopia, a Grade 1 microlot cultivated by 150 local smallholder farmers at altitudes of 1,900–2,030m. Grown from the revered Kurume, Wolisho and Dega varieties, this coffee captures the essence of Guji’s rich terroir. Vibrant, complex, and beautifully balanced.
What makes this coffee truly special is its wine-style fermentation process. The ripe cherries are placed in sealed stainless-steel tanks, where natural fermentation occurs in a carefully controlled, oxygen-free environment. This meticulous method brings out an incredible depth of flavour, think Marzipan, Toasted Nuts & Chocolate!
After fermentation, the cherries are traditionally dried on raised African beds, allowing the natural sweetness to fully develop before the beans are hand-sorted and prepared for export.
