Since May 2021 Nynke has been the proud owner of her own little pottery studio on a farm surrounded by fields and woods near St. Columb Major in Cornwall. Nynke loves spending time here, creating timeless and functional ceramics on the potter's wheel.
Nynke hasn’t always been a potter, but has always enjoyed being creative and learning new skills. After completing her art history degree in Amsterdam, Nynke worked as a curator in contemporary arts for a few years. While travelling around the world in 2018 she tried wheel throwing for the first time and loved it immediately.
Shortly after moving to the UK Nynke became a member at Turning Earth, a shared studio space in London. When moving to Cornwall late 2020 she started dreaming about one day having her own pottery studio. That dream has now become a reality.
