Meet Jimmy, creator of trunk & stem.
”The idea to create trunk & stem came from my deep appreciation for well-made products that improve daily life, whether it is there to serve a purpose or just to bring you joy whenever you see it. Every product that leaves my workshop door has this in mind, they are well made, and made to last. I ensure all of my products are as sustainable as they can possibly be from start to finish. All of my timber is locally sourced from the New Forest and surrounding area, and my finish of choice is made with only the finest natural and organic ingredients giving you a product that will last, without leaving a lasting impact on the environment around us. Almost all of the timber I use is also naturally felled, meaning the tree has either come down in a storm, or has been removed due to being a hazard, pretty cool right!”
“Another huge pride of mine, every single material I work with is from companies that uphold the same interests and values as I do. My timber is from a local sawmill 25 minutes from my workshop. Kingsley (Wild Wood Table) has an incredible wealth of knowledge about all things timber, and he has a deep passion for supporting local and almost all of his timber is naturally felled from the surrounding New Forest. He skilfully mills his timber and then sticker stacks everything to naturally air dry over a few years depending on its thickness.”
