About this coffee
Don Carlos
Carlos Arcila is a third-generation coffee farmer, he was born in a traditional coffee family from Quindio. Since he was a child, he was part of the family business helping his father around the farm. Carlos now owns Castellon farm, a 7-hectare farm located at 1450 m.a.s.l in Armenia, Quindio.
Single Varietal Microlot
This 100% Castillo microlot at Castellon farm, is harvested based on strict ripeness standards, floated, and hand-sorted to eliminate defects. The cherries undergo 30 hours of underwater fermentation, followed by pulping, washing, and drying in controlled conditions to achieve optimal moisture. Developed by Federación Nacional de Cafeteros, Castillo is more productive than Caturra and resistant to coffee leaf rust.
